Oscar Peralta is a rigorous and dedicated attorney. He has handled hundreds of personal injury cases and recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients.
Oscar earned his Juris Doctor degree from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, where he served as a member of Boyd’s law review, the Nevada Law Journal; as a member of the Society of Advocates Negotiation Team; and as President of Boyd’s Chapter of the American Constitution Society. During law school, Oscar was awarded the Nevada Justice Association Scholarship, as well as the Nevada State Bar Diversity Scholarship. Oscar completed an externship at the Nevada Legislature, where he was actively involved in several bills during the 113th legislative session, and he participated in a human rights practicum in New Delhi, India. Oscar has contributed articles to Nevada Lawyer Magazine and the NJA publication, the Advocate.
Oscar obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada Reno, where he double-majored in Philosophy and Political Science. Upon graduation, Oscar was awarded the UNR College of Liberal Arts J.D. Robb Scholarship for legal studies, and the UNR Latino Research Center’s Promesa Award, for academic excellence and community service. Oscar also served as President of the UNR Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, and was an Iris Marion Young Scholar at Penn State University.
After graduating from UNR, Oscar was selected for a nationally-recognized public policy fellowship in Washington D.C., through which he spent a year working in the office of then-U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
